Tupelo Country Club Golf Course
Tupelo Country Club features a private 18-hole parkland course originally designed by John Frazier and opened in 1970. Architect Kevin Tucker completed significant redesign work in 1988, with later improvements continuing the course’s evolution. Championship Bermuda greens were installed in 1998, while Bermuda is also reported across other primary playing surfaces. The course measures approximately 6,892 yards from current back tees and plays to par 72. Published back-tee figures list approximately a 73.3 course rating and 128 slope. Well-maintained fairways, mature trees, rolling terrain, lakes, and strategic bunkering create challenging but member-friendly conditions.
Six lakes influence the property, while the club reports 43 greenside bunkers and 12 fairway bunkers. Multiple tees extend from roughly 4,967 to 6,892 yards, accommodating beginners through accomplished competitive players. Long par-fives and demanding finishing holes provide notable challenges, although the club does not officially designate one signature hole. Mature native trees frame many holes, while water and bunkers place a premium on accurate approaches. Tupelo has hosted Mississippi State Amateurs, State Opens, Four-Ball championships, women’s championships, and the 2021 Mississippi Mid-Amateur. The club also hosted the 2025 Mississippi Golf Association Senior Amateur Championship.
