Seminole Golf Club – Membership Cost and Fees
Seminole Golf Club is an exceptionally private, invitation-only club with membership reportedly limited to roughly 300 members. Current estimates place the initiation fee near $250,000, although Seminole does not publicly disclose official membership pricing. Annual dues are estimated around $22,000, with actual costs potentially varying by membership arrangements. Admission requires sponsorship, club approval, and an available membership opportunity rather than simply paying the initiation fee. Additional spending can include caddie charges, dining, guest golf, gratuities, and other club services. Prospective members should treat published prices as estimates because Seminole keeps its financial requirements highly private.
Regular golf privileges are generally covered through membership rather than conventional public green fees. Outside golfers cannot purchase public tee times, and Seminole does not publish standard daily green fees. Guest access normally requires sponsorship by a member and compliance with the club’s restrictive policies. Caddies remain strongly associated with Seminole’s traditional walking experience, while golf carts operate under applicable club rules. Publicly verified cart and caddie rates are unavailable, making precise additional golf expenses difficult to establish. Members may also encounter assessments or other charges beyond annual dues, depending on policies established by the club.
Seminole Golf Club Facilities
Seminole Golf Club maintains a traditional golf-focused environment rather than offering extensive resort-style recreational amenities. Its distinctive clubhouse provides dining, locker rooms, social spaces, golf services, and displays celebrating the club’s history. Members have access to practice facilities supporting putting, short-game work, and full-swing preparation. Professional golf services include instruction, club operations, caddie support, and a well-established golf shop. Coastal surroundings near the Atlantic Ocean provide an atmosphere shaped by dunes, breezes, and native vegetation. Privacy, tradition, personalized service, and golf remain central to the Seminole membership experience.
Juno Beach is a small coastal community in northern Palm Beach County between Jupiter and North Palm Beach. Atlantic beaches, oceanfront residences, parks, and quiet neighborhoods contribute to the town’s relaxed South Florida character. Nearby Jupiter offers boating, fishing, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and additional recreational opportunities. Palm Beach Gardens provides major shopping centers, restaurants, healthcare facilities, and business districts within a short drive. Seminole’s property occupies approximately 140 acres between prominent dune ridges near the Atlantic shoreline. This secluded setting provides substantial privacy while remaining convenient to Palm Beach County’s established coastal communities.
Seminole Golf Course
Seminole features a private 18-hole championship course designed by Donald Ross and originally opened in 1929. Championship tournament setups can stretch approximately 7,265 yards while maintaining a par of 72. Gold tees carry a course rating around 75.4 and a slope rating near 144. Champion Bermuda covers the greens, while 419 Bermuda has traditionally been used across the fairways. Ross routed holes across natural dune ridges, continually changing playing direction and exposing golfers to shifting Atlantic winds. Firm conditions, angled greens, strategic bunkering, sandy terrain, and demanding approaches define Seminole’s celebrated architectural character.
Approximately 161 sand bunkers create strategic hazards, while water influences about six holes throughout the layout. The long par-four fourth ranks among Seminole’s most distinctive and demanding holes. Holes sixteen through eighteen also create a celebrated finishing stretch across the property’s rolling coastal terrain. Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw completed significant restoration work between 2016 and 2018. Later reconstruction directed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner continued the club’s careful architectural evolution. Seminole hosted the 2021 Walker Cup and has been selected to host several future USGA championships.
