Ansley Golf Club Facilities

Ansley Golf Club operates Midtown and Settindown properties, giving members two distinctly different golf and recreational environments. Midtown provides golf, tennis, pickleball, swimming, fitness, dining, childcare, and numerous social activities. Practice amenities support putting, short-game work, instruction, warmups, and other player-development needs. Settindown Creek provides an expansive championship golf setting approximately 25 miles north of Midtown. Dining facilities and member gathering areas complement golf activities at both club properties. Extensive programming includes tournaments, racquet competitions, fitness activities, family events, dining experiences, and social gatherings.

Ansley Park surrounds the Midtown property near Piedmont Park and Atlanta’s Midtown business and cultural districts. Historic homes, mature landscaping, restaurants, entertainment, and convenient urban access characterize the surrounding community. Settindown Creek occupies a more secluded setting near Roswell and northern Fulton County. Rolling terrain, forests, creeks, and residential communities create a distinctly rural atmosphere around the championship course. Members therefore enjoy both convenient intown recreation and a spacious country golf experience. Few Atlanta clubs combine two contrasting properties with such extensive golf, athletic, dining, and social amenities.

Ansley Golf Course

Ansley’s Midtown course is a private 18-hole layout, while Settindown Creek provides the club’s demanding championship golf experience. Bob Cupp designed Settindown Creek, which opened in 1988 and underwent a major Tyler Rae renovation completed in 2025. Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens traditionally provide contrasting surfaces suited to year-round Georgia golf. Settindown measures 7,332 yards from its black tees and plays to par 72. Black tees carry a 76.0 course rating and 150 slope, demonstrating the layout’s exceptional difficulty. Creeks, ponds, deep rough, strategic bunkers, and wooded terrain demand accurate driving and controlled approaches.

Bunkers appear throughout Settindown, while water influences numerous holes through creeks, ponds, and the Little River floodplain. Exact current bunker and water-hole totals are not officially published following the recent renovation. The par-five 16th features a demanding uphill approach across water and represents one of Settindown’s memorable challenges. Another standout is the 18th, where a pond guards portions of the green and influences approach strategy. Settindown hosted the 2005 U.S. Women’s Amateur, won by Morgan Pressel. Other tournaments include the Nike Tour Championship, Georgia Open, Georgia Amateur, and important qualifying competitions.
