Its centerpiece is a century-old Scottish Tudor clubhouse overlooking the William Flynn-designed golf course. Glen View Club Golf Course
Glen View Club features a historic private 18-hole parkland course originally established during the club’s earliest years. William Flynn is credited as the principal architect, with later renovation and restoration work refining the course. Bentgrass greens and fairways provide traditional playing surfaces maintained to demanding private-club standards. Current championship Mach tees measure approximately 6,963 yards, playing to par 72 with a 73.4 rating and 139 slope. Strategic bunkering, rolling fairways, mature trees, elevation changes, and river features create varied challenges throughout the routing. Exact current bunker and water-hole counts are not publicly documented, although both hazards influence numerous holes.
The course’s strongest holes use natural terrain, elevation changes, bunkering, and the river to reward thoughtful positioning. The club hosted the 1904 U.S. Open, where Willie Anderson captured his third national championship.
